"Golden Hour" is named after that extraordinary time in the late afternoon when the sun begins to lower and everything it touches takes on a soft, luminous glow.
In this original equestrian watercolour, familiar subjects; a horse, hydrangeas and background greenery are transformed by the warmth of the fading light. Although already beautiful, they suddenly appear different: more vivid, more captivating and almost impossible to pass without noticing.
The subject itself has not changed; only the light, and, for a moment, our way of seeing.
"Golden Hour" is about allowing ourselves to be moved by these fleeting moments of everyday beauty. Among the usual stresses, responsibilities and ordinary routines of life, something familiar can unexpectedly capture our attention and draw us completely into the present. It is a gentle reminder that beauty is often already around us. Sometimes, we simply need a change in light (or perspective) to truly see it.
